Our mission is to advance innovative science into meaningful treatments for patients with serious, unmet medical needs.Opportunity (Process Science Research Intern – Pilot Team | Summer 2026)Under the guidance of process engineers and research associates, you will support research and process development activities within our Pilot Team. This internship provides hands-on exposure to early-stage process development and scale-up efforts supporting cell therapy programs in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. This project will contribute to building and optimizing cell therapy processes within the organization while giving you the opportunity to strengthen your experimental design, analytical thinking, and project management skills. The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a strong desire to learn and contribute meaningfully to scientific and operational advancements.Program DetailsDuration: 8-10-week program Schedule: Up to 32 hours per weekCompensation: $24 per hourKey ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development and optimization of novel cell therapy processesConduct research and gather data to support process development and continuous improvementCollaborate with process engineers and associates to design experiments and analyze resultsPerform hands-on laboratory work, including cell culture, sample preparation, and data analysisMaintain accurate, detailed, and organized experimental recordsSupport maintenance of laboratory equipment and inventory of suppliesParticipate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve processes and workflowsStay informed on industry trends and advancements in cell therapy and related technologiesAdhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environmentCommunicate progress, results, and challenges clearly with team membersTake initiative to learn new techniques and expand technical skillsetsRepresent Neurona Therapeutics in a professional and positive manner at all timesEmbrace a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and continuous improvementKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and developing project management capabilitiesAbility to follow detailed laboratory protocols and document work accuratelyEffective communication and teamwork skillsBasic data analysis and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Basic QualificationsMust be a currently enrolled undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related STEM fieldCompleted relevant coursework in biology, cell biology, molecular biology, or engineeringPreferred QualificationsPrior laboratory experience, including cell culture or molecular biology techniquesFamiliarity with sterile technique and basic lab equipmentExposure to process development concepts or data analysis tools is a plusWork Environment & Physical RequirementsWork is performed in laboratory and office settingsAbility to lift up to 20 lbsNo travel requiredThis job description is not exhaustive and not intended to cover all activities of the position.
