Founded in 2016, Verkada has expanded rapidly with 15 offices and 2,200+ full-time employees.About The RoleVerkada is seeking an Technical Content Architect to own the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of technical enablement content for both our internal Solutions Engineering team and our partner ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of presales engineering, instructional design, and partner enablement.You will be responsible for identifying enablement gaps across internal SEs and channel partners, then building structured, scalable content to close those gaps. Your scope includes Verkada Certified Engineer (VCE) courseware, the new Presales Design Engineer certification track, technical playbooks, battle cards, and other enablement assets that accelerate time-to-competency and improve win rates.The ideal candidate combines deep technical fluency in physical security and IT infrastructure with exceptional content creation skills and a passion for teaching. You will spend meaningful time in the field with partners and internal SEs to keep content grounded in real-world selling and design scenarios. This role reports into the SE organization and requires close collaboration with Product, Marketing, Channel, and Support.What You'll DoContent Strategy & DevelopmentOwn the end-to-end lifecycle of SE and partner-facing technical enablement content: needs assessment, curriculum design, authoring, delivery, measurement, and iterationDevelop and maintain structured learning paths for the VCE certification course, the Presales Design Engineer certification, and future technical accreditation programsCreate scalable enablement assets including technical playbooks, solution design guides, competitive battle cards, demo scripts, configuration walkthroughs, and reference architecturesTranslate complex product capabilities, networking concepts, and system design principles into clear, engaging content for audiences ranging from seasoned security integrators to IT-first VARsEstablish and manage a content calendar aligned with product launches, feature releases, and partner program milestonesField Intelligence & Gap AnalysisSpend regular time with internal SEs and channel partner SEs in the field to observe real selling and design conversations, identify skill gaps, and surface unmet enablement needsEstablish and operate a structured feedback loop with SE leadership, Channel Sales Managers, and partner technical contacts to continuously refine content prioritiesConduct needs assessments across Verkada’s partner archetypes (traditional physical security integrators, IT VARs, national SIs, and regional specialists) to develop role-based enablement tailored to each segmentMonitor competitive landscape and update enablement content to ensure Verkada’s differentiation is clearly articulated versus Genetec, Hanwha, Axis, Avigilon, and other key competitorsPartner Enablement & DeliveryServe as the technical enablement lead for Verkada’s partner ecosystem, ensuring integrator and VAR SEs can confidently position, design, and demo Verkada solutionsDesign and deliver live and on-demand training sessions, workshops, and webinars for partner audiences across varying levels of technical proficiencyBuild and manage onboarding curricula for new partner SEs, accelerating their ramp to productivityCollaborate with Channel Sales and Partner Programs teams to embed enablement into partner lifecycle motions (onboarding, tiering, QBRs, and recognition programs such as Vanguard)Internal SE EnablementPartner with SE leadership to identify and close knowledge gaps across the internal SE organization, with a focus on new product readiness, advanced solution design, and competitive positioningSupport product launch readiness by developing SE-facing technical briefs, FAQ documents, and hands-on lab guides ahead of GA releasesContribute to internal enablement programming including boot camps, SKOs, and ongoing certification tracksMeasurement & Continuous ImprovementDefine and track KPIs that connect enablement activities to business outcomes: certification completion rates, partner-sourced pipeline, time-to-first-deal, and content engagement metricsLeverage LMS platforms, surveys, and field feedback to measure learning effectiveness and iterate on content designStay current on emerging instructional design methodologies, digital adoption tools, and AI-assisted content creation approachesRequiredWhat You BringBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Networking, Engineering, Communications, or a related field5+ years of experience in solutions engineering, presales, technical enablement, or technical content development within a B2B technology companySolid understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs, and L2 devicesDemonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging written and visual content for diverse audiences (internal teams, technical integrators, IT generalists)Experience designing and delivering structured training programs, certification curricula, or technical learning pathsOutstanding written and verbal communication skills with effective presentation abilities;
