Job Description Job Title:Field Project Manager – Asset ManagementLocation:Dallas, TX and Houston, TXFLSA ClassificationNon-exemptJob Description:Orbital is seeking a Field Project Manager – Asset Management to support the execution of Asset Integrity and Asset Management programs across client facilities near Dallas, TX and Houston, TX. This role is responsible for leading day‑to‑day field execution of inspection and engineering activities while ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and data integrity.The Field Project Manager collaborates with the Asset Management Program Manager or Senior Project Manager, field crews, technical support teams, and client site contacts to achieve program goals, coordinate field operations, and act as Orbital's on-site representative during inspections and assessments. This role requires being present in the field and actively coordinating with inspectors, engineers, and client staff.The Field Project Manager reports to Asset Management Program Manager / Senior Project Manager.Essential FunctionsField Execution & Project DeliveryManage and coordinate field execution of Asset Management and Asset Integrity projects, including structural and other infrastructure inspectionsServe as the primary on‑site point of contact during field activities, ensuring alignment with project scope, safety requirements, and client expectationsCoordinate daily field activities, including access planning, scheduling, and logistics across multiple assets and facilitiesTrack field progress and communicate status, issues, and risks to the Program ManagerInspection & Technical SupportSupport inspection planning efforts, including inspection scopes, asset boundaries, and inspection levelsReview field inspection data, photographs, and notes for completeness, clarity, and adherence to established standardsAssist with the preparation and review of inspection reports, findings, and supporting documentationProvide technical input to engineering teams supporting repair recommendations or follow‑up evaluationsSafety, Quality & StandardsEnforce Orbital safety policies and client safety requirements during all field activitiesEnsure field work is executed in accordance with Orbital's Quality Management System (QMS), inspection procedures, and client‑specific standardsPromote consistency and repeatability in inspection execution, documentation, and data collection across facilitiesIdentify opportunities for improving field efficiency, inspection methods, and data qualityTeam & Client CoordinationCoordinate the work of field inspectors, technicians, and subcontractorsSupport mentoring and oversight of junior field staff and inspectorsMaintain professional working relationships with client operations, maintenance, and engineering personnelEscalate technical, safety, or execution concerns to the Program Manager as appropriateOther DutiesPlease note that this job posting does not list all duties and responsibilities that are required of this job. Duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Structural, Mechanical, or Civil) or equivalent combination of education and field‑based Asset Integrity experienceMinimum of 5–8 years of experience supporting Asset Integrity, inspection, or Asset Management projects in industrial environmentsExperience working in asset‑intensive industries such as power generation, oil & gas, refining, chemical processing, manufacturing, steel, mining, or materials processingTWIC card holder preferredPrior experience supporting Asset Management, Asset Integrity, Mechanical Integrity (MI), or Risk‑Based Inspection (RBI) programs is preferredFamiliarity with digital inspection tools, databases, and asset tracking platforms is preferredPrevious experience working in a consulting engineering or inspection environment is preferredStrong field leadership skills with the ability to manage crews, schedules, and site logisticsWorking knowledge of inspection methodologies, asset condition assessments, and reporting practicesStrong written and verbal communication skills, particularly related to field coordination and reportingAbility to travel regularly to other regional client sitesLocation Note:This is an on-site or hybrid position.
