As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients while enjoying competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.Required Qualifications:One year of recent experience as a Rehab RNValid RN license in compliance with state regulationsCurrent BLS certification (AHA/ARC)Preferred Qualifications:ACLS certificationNIHSS certificationOther certifications and licenses may be required for this positionSummary:The Rehabilitation Nurse (Rehab RN) provides comprehensive care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or illnesses that require rehabilitative treatment. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing assessments, implementing care plans, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to help patients regain optimal physical, functional, and emotional well-being. The Rehab RN demonstrates advanced clinical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to patient-centered care and safety.Essential Work Functions:Complete nursing assessment of patients on the unit and documents appropriately into patient recordsPrepare patients for surgery, including educating them about procedures and post-operative careCoordinate and provide holistic patient care, including mobility support, rehabilitation exercises, and activities of daily living (ADLs), while ensuring adherence to individualized care plansMonitor and evaluate patients’ responses to therapeutic interventions, documenting progress and communicating any deviations or concerns to the interdisciplinary teamSafely administer prescribed medications and treatments ensuring proper documentation and compliance with safety protocolsMaintain a clean, organized environment and ensure rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies and equipment to support rehabilitation careAssist with safe patient transport to and from therapy sessions, diagnostic procedures, or other care areas as neededPerform other duties as assigned within the scope of practiceAdhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standardsRequired Essential Skills:Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skillsThe ability to read, write, and communicate in the English languageAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skillsPhysical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bendInterpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipmentMental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
