Job Title: Project Coordinator IIILocation: Grand Rapids/Jackson, MI preferredSchedule: Hybrid (Onsite Mon, Tues, Thurs | Remote/Field Wed, Fri)Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Utility Construction Coordinator to support utility construction projects from start to finish. This role will help coordinate schedules, field activities, crews, materials, permits, and project documentation to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and according to company standards.The coordinator will work closely with field crews, supervisors, engineers, contractors, and project teams to support daily construction operations, resolve field issues, track project progress, and maintain accurate records. ResponsibilitiesCoordinate utility construction projects through all phasesMaintain project schedules and track progressSupport pre-construction planning, materials, permits, and crew assignmentsCoordinate with field teams, contractors, and internal stakeholdersMonitor field work for compliance with standards and safety requirementsTrack milestones, completed work, and closeout activitiesMaintain project records, reports, change orders, and invoicesHelp resolve field issues and communicate risks or delaysSupport crew safety documentation and work clearances RequirementsExperience supporting utility or construction projectsUnderstanding of underground/overhead electric, gas, or civil utility workAbility to read construction drawings, maps, and work packagesStrong communication, coordination, and organizational skillsExperience with Excel, scheduling tools, and project documentationAbility to work in both office and field environmentsStrong problem-solving and multitasking skills
