Health Coaches work in a high‐engagement outreach model using an automated dialer system to connect with members throughout the day, conducting back‐to‐back coaching conversations to help them progress toward their health goals. Job SummaryStart Date: Monday, June15th, 2026. Shift: Monday‐Friday. Must be open to any shift between 10:30am and 9:00pm CST. Required to work every fourth Saturday from 8:00am–4:30pm CST. Training: 6weeks (8am–4:30pm CST). Compensation: $21.50/hr or $25/hr when certified through NBC‐HWC or CHES. Essential Job FunctionsParticipate in telephonic calls: engagement (inbound and outbound) to inform participants of the program and enroll them; coaching (inbound and outbound) to provide individualized behavior‐change coaching; chase (outbound) to contact members not scheduled for a call. Coordinate delivery of services and care with members of a multidisciplinary care team, including nurses and external vendors. Support operational aspects of the assigned area to meet customer requirements, which may include multiple customers. Adhere to a schedule and caseload to support member interaction success and connectivity. Caseloads may be 1:1 or team based per business needs. Participate in daily and monthly meetings for updates and to present findings and insights. Note and track members' progress and program efficacy. Specific Skills & AttributesEffective interpersonal and communication skills. Understand directions and respond to inquiries. Enthusiastically inspire members to change behaviors. Coach effectively using motivational interviewing. Learn and use documentation software to record interactions and chat with participants. Attention to detail when documenting interactions. Flexibility to work any shift, typically evening, and change shifts as business needs evolve, including rotating Saturdays. QualificationsCompleted training from a NBHWC‐certified training program. Active board certification in Wellness Coaching from NBHWC a plus. Bachelor's degree in a health‐related field (e.g., Psychology, Nutrition, Exercise Science). Experience delivering coaching via chat (a plus). Experience with benchmarks and contact center metrics preferred, including adherence to schedule. Proficiency in computer data entry and Microsoft Office. Ability to coordinate telephonic communication while navigating software and entering data for extended periods. Quick learning of lifestyle‐related topics such as smoking cessation, weight management, nutrition, exercise, stress reduction and sleep. Ability to work independently and prioritize a moderate workload with minimal supervision. Adaptability to schedule changes on an as‐needed basis. Multitask members and operational support with managers and staff. Hard‐wired internet connection required; Wi‐Fi not permitted.
