Company :Allegheny Health NetworkJob Description :There are (2) positions availableGENERAL OVERVIEW:Evaluates and treats patients with physical, emotional, cognitive and/or psychosocial deficits which impact their abilities to successfully perform independent living skills; coordinates work performed by support personnel; effectively communicates and collaborates with patients, families and members of the healthcare team.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:* Performs initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition and establishes goals and plan of care, which are appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires.* Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard, and possibly specialized, occupational therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.* Completes documentation to comply with department, hospital, and regulatory standards.* Participates in departmental initiatives for operational improvement including committees and educational offerings.* Performs other duties as assigned or required.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum* Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university* Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist or eligible.* CPR certification* Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate* Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate* Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance CertificatePreferred* Master's Degree.* Current driver's license may be required.* National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)Disclaimer: The job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and essential duties and responsibilities of work performed by employees within this job title.
