In-house training, education assistance, paid time for professional organization involvementAMT is seeking a Transportation Project Manager with 8-12 years' experience for a position in our Towson, Maryland or Rockville, Maryland office. Position is also flexible to be in our Herndon, VA office but be willing and available to travel to Maryland offices for projects and meetings. The position is full-time, and AMT will provide the flexibility and necessary equipment to work from home 2 to 3 days per week, as agreed upon with the Transportation Group Leader.You'll find success in this position if you:• Have strong time management skills and the ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects• Can identify and resolve project risks and design challenges• Enjoy building and motivating teams• Have strong written and oral communication skillsQualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington DC Required8 to 12 years' experience in roadway, highway, and traffic control plan preparation with past project management experienceProficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3DStrong written and oral communication skillsResponsibilitiesLeading multi-discipline teams to deliver transportation design projects, with a focus on multi-modal roadway projectsServing as liaison between client and project team including external stakeholder agenciesManaging all technical resources on the project team including subconsultantsPreparing task proposals and establish project pricing and budgetsDeveloping project management plans for assigned projects and preparing monthly progress reportsDeveloping and maintaining project schedulesLeading or participating in client meetings and presentationsProviding quality control reviews of submittals and deliverablesMentoring and training junior staffAssisting with production tasks (CADD drawings, reports, graphics / renderings, etc.)Assisting Group Leader and Division Directors with business development and proposalsMaintaining a positive working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team membersWith 70 years of distinguished service within the mid-Atlantic region, AMT has established itself as an Engineering News Record Top 500 Design Firm and has been honored by ZweigGroup as a Hot Firm.
