Heart of Texas Associates helps our clients analyze their current situation, develop in-depth financial programs, and help them implement an integrated financial strategy.This is a full-time role that and requires you to be in the office 5 days per week.Job DescriptionThe Paraplanner position supports our Lead Advisors by assisting with the creation of financial plans and learning firm-specific procedures and processes, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality client service. Key responsibilities include preparing detail-oriented financial plans, conducting investment research and analysis, and collaborating with team members. The Paraplanner reports to and is employed/contracted by the Financial Advisor.Position Roles/Responsibilities/AccountabilitiesPrepare and update detail-oriented and accurate financial plans and presentation materials for client meetingsGather and enter information into financial planning software and prepare draft financial plansGather and maintain customer suitability informationAssist in generating and reviewing client portfolio performance reportsEnter and maintain information across various systems, including CRM system (Salesforce) and financial planning software, ensuring data integrity and up-to-date documentationIdentify and share ideas to improve workflows, processes, and internal procedures to create positive client experiencesComplete necessary forms for opening and maintaining accountsHandle request for transfers of funds in and out of accountsDemonstrate strong organizational skills by managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines while working independentlyMaintain professionalism, discretion, and a client-first mindset when handling sensitive client informationOther responsibilities as assigned by the Lead AdvisorYou will be employed/contracted by Heart of Texas Associates.RequirementsSecurities (6/63, 7/66, or 7/63 & 65) and Life, Health, and Annuity registration requiredDegree in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting or Economics preferredDemonstrated customer service orientation/experience, 2+ years preferredExtremely strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsTechnical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce) or ability to learnAbility to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptionsAbility to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential informationExperience in What If Tax and MoneyGuidePro is a plusExternal/Internal DependenciesMust be able to work with all roles of the Heart of Texas Associates teamMust be able to represent the organization in work with external clientsMust be able to cultivate and maintain relationships with outside organizationsThrivent Investment Management is the sponsor for FINRA registration, and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is the sponsor for insurance licensure.Compensation And BenefitsSalary: $50,000 – $80,000 depending upon experience19 days of PTO (10 PTO + 9 Holidays)Employer-sponsored SIMPLE IRA with matching contributionsEmployer-paid continuing education and licensingEligible for discretionary bonusesTeam-oriented culture with opportunities for professional growthAbout ThriventThrivent is a diversified financial services organization that, with its subsidiary and affiliate companies, serves more than 2.4 million clients, offering advice, insurance, investments, banking and generosity products and programs.
