Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) – Travel AssignmentShift: Day Shift (5x8 Hours)Location: Eureka, CA 95501Shift Hours: 06:00 AM – 02:30 PMSchedule: 5 days per weekWeekly Hours: 40 HoursPosition Overview"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) for a day shift travel assignment in a hospital laboratory setting. The ideal candidate will perform a broad range of diagnostic testing to ensure accurate and timely results that support high-quality patient care and clinical decision-making.This role requires strong generalist laboratory experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and complex laboratory testing across core disciplines, including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, and related areasAnalyze patient specimens and ensure accurate, timely reporting of resultsOperate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipmentPerform and document quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) proceduresReview and validate test results, ensuring accuracy and reliabilityReport critical values promptly to appropriate clinical staffMaintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and applicable laboratory standardsProcess, handle, and store specimens in accordance with established protocolsTroubleshoot instrument issues and escalate concerns when necessaryMaintain complete and accurate laboratory documentation and recordsFollow infection control and patient safety protocols at all timesCollaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teamsSupport daily laboratory workflow and operational efficiencyQualificationsBachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field (required)Active Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license (state-specific, as applicable)Prior clinical laboratory experience preferred; generalist experience strongly preferredStrong understanding of laboratory testing procedures and instrumentationKnowledge of CLIA, CAP, and hospital laboratory compliance standardsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skillsAbility to work independently in a high-volume clinical settingStrong attention to detail and accuracy in all work performedEffective communication and teamwork skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and manage workload efficientlyFor more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.About Navitas Healthcare, LLC certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
