Job Title: Engineer 1Date Posted: 7/23/2026Location: Atlanta, GA 30339Job Type: Contract Full-TimeImmediate W2 contract position available in Atlanta, GAEstimated Duration: 12 monthsJob Description / Desired Qualifications:The Engineer 1 position requires 0-5 years of related experience and an accredited bachelor’s degree.Responsible for applying engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to design and construct power related systems.Supports estimate preparation, develops design options, and prepares construction specifications.Provide guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for approved contractors as they develop design solutions, cost estimates, and construction packages.Job responsibilities include:Creating a safe work environment by putting safety firstUnderstand the process used for planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenanceUnderstanding the functions and activities of various internal departments involved in design, construction, and maintenanceUnderstanding design practices and work processesUsing all software applications used in designUnderstanding industry and Company design standardsSupporting design standard and criteria development for the systemSupporting construction and maintenance teams during day-to-day operationsEstimating material for projectsTransmitting construction packages and supporting specificationsSkillsets and expertise required for this position include:Introductory engineering knowledge, basic problem-solving skillsLimited discretion making independent decisions based on procedure and review with supervisorBasic discipline software knowledgeStrong work ethicPositive attitudeThe ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendorsAdditional Requirements:Candidate must have previous experience with walking down and marking up mechanical prints.Candidate must have experience with doing CAD work for mechanical P&IDs.Must be local or willing to relocate at own expense.
