Controls TechnicianA well-established building automation and controls contractor is seeking a skilled Controls Technician to support the installation, commissioning, and service of commercial and industrial automation systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background, hands-on field experience, and solid troubleshooting skills across HVAC and building controls environments.Key Responsibilities:Install, terminate, and test control wiring for sensors, actuators, and panelsCommission and troubleshoot building automation and DDC systemsLoad and modify control programs under the direction of senior engineersVerify and document system operation and testing resultsDiagnose and resolve electrical or communication issues in the fieldRead and interpret wiring diagrams and control drawingsCalibrate control devices to ensure accuracy and reliabilityComplete detailed service reports and maintain safety complianceRequirements:35 years of experience with building automation, HVAC controls, or electrical systemsStrong understanding of DDC controls, electrical principles, and low-voltage wiringProficiency with test instruments and diagnostic toolsAbility to interpret electrical prints and control sequencesExcellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detailValid driver's license and reliable transportationPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric, or similar platformsExperience with BACnet, Modbus, or LON protocolsTridium Niagara N4 certification or equivalent a plusBackground in HVAC service, commissioning, or networking/IP systemsBenefits:Health Insurance (BCBS Gold) 68% premium coveredFree Dental Insurance401(k) with 4% employer matchThree weeks of paid time offEleven paid holidaysRotating Friday half-daysStable, long-term role with career growth potential.
