Quality Engineer

Compensation: Hourly wages for this role range from $37.00 to $39.00. Core Responsibilities: You will spearhead quality planning initiatives for specific commodities across PDP programs, ongoing production, service components, and continuous improvement projects to ensure high standards. You will be expected to contribute to the following areas: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to apply quality development methods, including DPARs, FMEA, control plans, design evaluations, supplier assessments, and root cause investigations. Support the identification, communication, and resolution of quality concerns related to suppliers for both current production and PDP programs. Drive the 8D corrective action process to address quality issues and PDP program requirements. Manage the effective execution of Return Goods Authorizations, Supplier Change Requests, quality plans, and supplier enhancement initiatives. Required Qualifications: At least two years of professional experience in manufacturing, quality engineering, or supply management within a design or production environment. Proficiency in essential quality methodologies such as FMEA, NCCA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, and Six Sigma. Experience leveraging advanced data collection and statistical analysis to help the team identify and resolve complex technical problems. Competency in interpreting technical drawings, product models, schematics, and GD&T standards. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and lead projects with minimal oversight. Strong verbal and written communication skills paired with effective facilitation and organizational abilities. Minimum of two years of hands-on experience with quality engineering tools, including supplier audits, DPARs, and design reviews. Familiarity with SAP-PAG and SAP-PDM systems. Proven background in conducting various audits, such as JDS-G223, process verification, and special process audits. Prior experience working with utility vehicle or riding lawn equipment production lines. Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles. Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technology-related field, or an equivalent combination of professional experience. Total Rewards and Benefits: The standard base pay for this position in the U.S. is $37.00 to $39.00 per hour. Non-exempt staff are eligible for 1.5x overtime pay for hours worked over 40 per week, subject to local or state regulations. Final compensation is based on your specific skills, education, and experience.
