Job Title: Tier 3 Microsoft 365 EngineerDuration: 9+ Month Contract (with possibility for extension or conversion)Location: Denver, CO or Brentwood, TNWork Schedule: Hybrid ' Must be onsite 3 days per month (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday of the 2nd full week each month)Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Tier 3 Microsoft 365 Engineer to provide advanced technical support, administration, and engineering for our Microsoft 365 environment.This role serves as the highest-level escalation point for complex issues, leads platform optimization efforts, and partners closely with security, identity, and infrastructure teams to ensure a secure, scalable, and reliable M365 ecosystem.Key Responsibilities Microsoft 365 Administration & EngineeringAdminister and optimize Microsoft 365 services with deep hands-on ownership of:SharePoint Admin Center (Online sites, permissions, governance, storage, sharing)Exchange Admin Center (Online mailboxes, transport rules, retention, hybrid configurations)Teams Admin Center (Policies, voice, meetings, apps, and integrations)Design, implement, and maintain M365 configurations aligned with organizational standards and best practicesManage tenant-wide settings, service health, licensing, and capacity planning Tier 3 Support & EscalationAct as the highest-level escalation point for complex M365 incidents and service degradationPerform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement long-term corrective actionsEngage Microsoft Premier/Unified Support as needed and manage cases through resolution Security, Compliance & GovernancePartner with security teams to implement and maintain:Conditional Access policiesData Loss Prevention (DLP)Retention and eDiscovery policiesEnsure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirementsSupport audits and security reviews related to M365 services Automation & OptimizationDevelop and maintain automation using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and M365 APIsImprove operational efficiency through scripting, standardization, and self-service toolingEvaluate and deploy new M365 features and capabilities Collaboration & LeadershipMentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 support staffCreate and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and standardsProvide architectural input for M365-related projects and migrations Required Qualifications5+ years of experience administering Microsoft 365 in an enterprise environmentExpert-level experience with:SharePoint Online and SharePoint Admin CenterExchange Online and Exchange Admin CenterMicrosoft Teams and Teams Admin CenterStrong PowerShell scripting skills for M365 administrationSolid understanding of Azure AD / Entra ID (identity, authentication, and access management)Experience troubleshooting hybrid environments (on-prem AD, Exchange hybrid)Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skillsMust be local to Denver, CO or Brentwood, TN and able to meet onsite requirements Preferred QualificationsMicrosoft certifications (e.g., MS-102, Exchange, Teams, or Security certifications)Experience with Microsoft Purview, Defender for Office 365, and IntuneFamiliarity with large-scale migrations to Microsoft 365Experience working in regulated or highly secure environments Working ConditionsParticipation in an on-call rotation for critical incidents may be requiredHybrid work model with defined onsite expectations #AB2
