MATHESON has over 300 locations and more than 4500 employees in the U.S.ABOUT THE ROLEWe have an opening for a highly-skilled and experienced Civil Engineer.RESPONSIBILITIESAnalyze survey reports, maps, plans, and other relevant information for project planningOversee survey operations for construction, develop site grading and drainage plansOversee SWPPP implementation and maintenance in accordance with regulationsCheck and reconcile drawings with field survey control points, ensure elevations, rebar placement, top of concrete, foundation location matches the drawings before concrete is orderedSubmitting permit applications for projects with multiple regulations to appropriate local, state and federal agenciesBudget construction cost and risk analysis for projectsSite investigations: Conduct field visits and analyze survey data, soil reports, and environmental constraints to determine project feasibilityStakeholder Coordination: Liaise with architects, contractors, government officials, and project managers to resolve design modifications and project issuesProject Support: Will support Project Managers and other engineers in project activities including, but not limited to the following: Preparation of bid packages, acquisition of quotations and bids, preparation of purchase order documents, tracking orders and processing the invoicesAssist in the preparation and management of project schedules, Gantt charts, and departmental calendarsPrepare Bill of Materials (BOM) for projects under direction of project managersAssist in the development of project cost estimatesEngineering Departmental Support: Will support activities and projects to maintain efficient operation and continued improvement of the engineering departmentThese include, but not limited to the following: Evaluation of software packages for process, safety, document control or project managementProject Engineering: Will support technical and construction activities necessary for project completionThese activities include, but not limited to the following: Conduct technical inspections of all components built for the projectField verification of P&IDs and redlining/correction as requiredBe responsible for ensuring that the project is managed in a safe and professional manner and that it is undertaken in compliance with all relevant SHE requirementsQUALIFICATIONSEducation Level: Associate's Degree, Bachelor's DegreeEducation Details: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with preference to civil, mechanical and electrical disciplines; Professional Engineer licenseWORK EXPERIENCEExperience Details: 1-3 years Project or civil engineering experience.
