Reporting directly to the executive finance team, this role was created due to growth to bring enhanced structure, modern GAAP controls, and operational best practices to a fast-paced accounting department. If you are a strong mentor who loves to optimize processes and tighten close timelines, this is your next career move.Core Ownership AreasFinancial Controls: Work closely with executive leadership to implement robust GAAP controls and tighten the month-end close (MEC) process.Team Leadership & Development: Directly manage and mentor a dedicated accounting team of 8+ professionals covering AP, AR, Inventory, Treasury, and General Accounting.Cash & Treasury Management: Oversee daily cash management, multi-entity bank reconciliations, and cash flow reporting.Multi-Site Operational Accounting: Support accounting operations across multiple processing plants, tracking high-volume inventory movements and distribution metrics.Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline reporting workflows, improve visibility, and enhance data accuracy across the business.The Ideal ProfileEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.Experience: 7+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience, with full ownership of the month-end close.Environment Background: Experience working within a small to medium sized company environment is required.Industry Background: Experience in Manufacturing, Distribution, or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) is highly preferred.Technical Savvy: Strong familiarity with mid-level ERP systems and multi-system data integration; system implementation experience is a major plus.Why Join This Team?True Autonomy & Impact: You are not just maintaining the status quo.
