Salary: $80,000-$120,000If the following job requirements and experience match your skills, please ensure you apply promptly.Company Overview: Hi Power Electric, is a leading electrical contracting firm known for delivering high-quality, timely, and cost-effective solutions across commercial, residential, and multifamily projects.Position Summary:The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients, this role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, material pricing, labor analysis, and Colorado-specific building codes and regulations. The ideal candidate brings at least 2 years of electrical estimating experience and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Key Responsibilities:Estimating & BiddingReview and analyze project plans, specifications, and scope of work to develop detailed cost estimatesPrepare complete take-offs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costsSolicit, evaluate, and negotiate bids from suppliers and subcontractorsDevelop competitive bid packages for commercial, industrial, and residential electrical projectsMaintain and update a library of unit costs, assemblies, and historical project dataProject CoordinationCollaborate with project managers and field supervisors to ensure estimate accuracy and constructabilityAttend pre-bid meetings, job walks, and client meetings as requiredReview and interpret RFIs, addenda, and change order requestsAssist in value engineering efforts to provide cost-effective solutions without compromising qualityReporting & DocumentationPrepare and present estimate summaries and bid proposals to leadership and clientsTrack bid results and win/loss ratios to refine future estimating strategiesMaintain organized and accurate estimate files, correspondence, and documentationMonitor material and labor cost trends in the Colorado marketQualifications: Required:Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical estimating within a contracting environmentExperience estimating commercial electrical projects is requiredSolid knowledge of electrical systems, NEC codes, and Colorado state/local electrical requirementsProficiency with estimating software (e.g., Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, or similar)Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematicsStrong math and analytical skills with high attention to detailProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Preferred:Associate or bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldExperience with industrial electrical projects in ColoradoJourneyman or Master Electrician license (active Colorado license a plus)Familiarity with prevailing wage and Davis-Bacon projectsExperience using project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend)Working Environment:This position is primarily office-based at our Colorado headquarters, with periodic site visits and client meetings across the state.Hi Power, is an equal opportunity employer.
