This role is ideal for engineers with experience in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, simulation environments, software validation, and release engineering who enjoy working closely with software, vehicle operations, and engineering teams.Responsibilities:• Execute Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and simulation testing to validate software before vehicle deployment• Support development and evaluation of HIL driving scenarios, including night-run validation• Assist with vehicle-based validation testing for pre-release software• Maintain and improve the HIL testing pipeline• Review release test results and coordinate with vehicle operations teams• Identify software regressions and support root cause investigations• Communicate testing results, risks, failures, and release status to cross-functional teams• Travel domestically as neededQualifications:• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred• 3+ years of software validation, HIL, simulation, or release engineering experience• Hands-on experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) or simulation testing• Experience analyzing logs, video, and sensor data to identify issues• Experience with Git• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills• Ability to work effectively across multiple engineering teamsPreferred:• Python programming experience• Experience with simulation tools such as Foxglove Studio, SUMO, or similar• Experience with ASPICE• Autonomous vehicle or robotics experience is a plusLocation:• Hybrid (3 days onsite)• Ann Arbor, MI or Palo Alto, CA• Monday-Friday, standard business hours#SoftwareEngineer #ReleaseEngineer #HIL #HardwareInTheLoop #Simulation #AutonomousVehicles #Python #Git #Automotive #EngineeringJobs #AnnArbor #PaloAlto #Hiring
