Paramedic Field Training Officer
Job SummaryAmeriPro EMS is seeking an experienced and professional Field Training Officer (FTO) to support the development, evaluation, and readiness of field personnel. The FTO plays a critical role in bridging classroom instruction and real-world EMS operations by mentoring probationary and non-probationary employees, reinforcing company policies, and ensuring clinical and operational excellence. This role serves as a leadership pathway, with eligibility for advanced training and promotional opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide structured field training and mentorship to probationary and existing field employees in accordance with AmeriPro EMS policies, procedures, and standards.Evaluate employee performance, document progress, and coordinate with administrative staff to determine field readiness and program completion.Conduct remedial training and performance improvement for current employees as needed.Review patient care reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with approved medical protocols.Participate in the review, development, and implementation of patient care protocols and operational guidelines.Ensure completion of required daily, weekly, and monthly unit check-offs and maintain operational readiness of units and crews.Serve as a professional role model by maintaining high standards of appearance, conduct, readiness, and interpersonal communication while on and off duty.Support supervisory operations by reporting deficiencies, enforcing compliance, and assuming acting supervisory responsibilities when assigned in the absence of a Shift Supervisor or Shift Lieutenant.Why Choose AmeriPro?At AmeriPro Health, you are at the heart of everything we do! Frequent interruptions, work pressure, difficult personalities, and irregularities in work schedules are expected. Employees are subject to continually changing deadlines, while performing the duties of this job.
