Registered Nurse (RN) | Geriatrics / Skilled Nursing Facility Location: Cook, MN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,991 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the PositionTravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Geriatrics/SNF RN in Cook, Minnesota, 55723!Job Title: LTC/SNF RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8 or 12 hours Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - BLS Certification Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in a Long-Term Care and Skilled Nursing Facility. This facility has 28 beds and provides both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. The typical patient census ranges from 23 to 28. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech, with a transition to a new system planned for June 2024. Staffing ratios are 1 RN to 23-28 patients per 8-hour shift. No IV certification is required for Licensed Practical Nurses. Common diagnoses include dementia, COPD, CHF, diabetes, and hypertension. Job duties include performing initial assessments, medication administration, overseeing nursing assistants, conducting skin assessments, pain assessments, admissions, wound care, and preventing/treating pressure ulcers. Family involvement and communication are integral to the role. Mechanical lift systems are utilized for patient handling. Experience for this role includes accepting first-time travelers. Team conferences are not required for acute inpatient rehabilitation. Physicians are available 24/7 on-site. An interdisciplinary team that includes physical and occupational therapists meets daily. A pharmacy is available on-site, providing bubble packs for medications. Shifts available include: - Day shift: 0600-1430 - Evening shift: 1415-2245 - Night shift: 2230-0700 Mandatory overtime may be required in accordance with union rules. Weekend work is expected every other week. Holiday rotation may be requested. There are no call or standby requirements. Floating to other units is not required. Scrub color is not specified.
