POSITION SUMMARY:Under direct supervision, this role is responsible for readying computer software, applications, images, and systems for use by end user. This position is security sensitive because incumbent will be entrusted with valuable inventory.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Unboxes ChromebooksPreps equipment for deployment which can include imaging and boxing equipment for shipment.Configures Chrome Books (connecting to WI-FI, enrolling and registering in google console).Updates the Bios SettingAssists in developing and implementing configuration proceduresPrioritizes multiple responsibilities and requests to ensure timely and accurate completionProactively attains and verifies information required to ensure timely and accurate completion of product configuration.Completes account configuration work on time within a designated schedule, escalating any major issues to the Team Lead.Performs assembly of Mobile CartsPerforms asset tagging of equipmentScans serial / asset numbersShrink wraps boxes or pallets as neededRemoves trash such as empty boxes and packing material and places in designated areaClean up of work areasLabels equipment by performing laser etching and/or stampingAssists in loading / unloading of equipment delivery trucks as neededAssists in the piece count and order identification of all incoming/outgoing equipmentDisplays a consistently positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous and professional attitude as an essential function of this position.RequirementsJOB REQUIREMENTS:Education/Experience:Required:Minimum for Entry Level: High school graduatePreferred: Associates degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Information Services, or related field, -OR- equivalent from two-year college or technical school; -OR- two years related experience and/or training; -OR- equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred: Two years of progressively responsible experience in configuration, repair, maintenance, and installation of computers and peripheral equipment, of which at least one year is at an intermediate level.KNOWLEDGE OF:Configuration of computers and peripheral equipment as a minimum for an entry level skill set.SKILL AT:Troubleshooting computer equipment requiring some precision. Using hand tools and small power tools to complete services. Working independently and exercising initiative and judgment. Making decisions within scope of assigned authority. Assuming responsibility with minimal supervision.
