We provide automation solutions for a multitude of industries; each helping upgrade efficiency, increase throughput and guarantee reliability in production.Job DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTION The Controls and Electrical Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the team of electrical and controls engineers responsible for the design, programing, debug and installation of automation equipment. They work to ensure that the electrical and control systems are functioning properly for each project, and they lead teams to implement solutions that improve efficiency, safety, and performance.Top 5 ResponsibilitiesLMA (Leadership, Management, Accountability Engineering Scheduling Engineering Execution (Engineering Quality) Quoting and Monitoring Project Budgets Standards Training/Employee Development Additional Responsibilties / DutiesIdentifies resource needs and works with leadership and HR to secure resources. Approves project timelines and verifies that quoted hours match timelines. Assigns lead engineers and support to projects. Communicates, monitors and reports project KPI tracking. Assures equipment meets Alliance and Customer Standards. Works with HR to maintain robust training systems. Assists with on-boarding new hires. Maintains department schedules per timelines and ensures resource availability. Establishes and maintains relationships with external contractors. Conducts yearly performance reviews with direct reports. Reviews quotes prior to submittal. Minimum Qualifications / ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related field. A Master’s degree may be preferred. A solid knowledge and understanding of electrical and control systems engineering, with 2-3 years in a leadership or project management role. Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate teams. Knowledge of industrial automation, process control, and instrumentation. Strong people skills with the ability to lead a diverse team over multiple projects and customer locations. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, NFPA, OSHA).
