2nd Shift Custodian at the Later Elementary School

Title: Custodian Location: Middle School Reports to: Director of Facilities and Custodial Supervisor Job Type: Full Time / Non-Exempt Hours: Second Shift Qualifications: · High School diploma or equivalent or experience as a custodian · Excellent work ethic and attendance record · Must be able to lift 75 lbs. · Perform cleaning in an efficient and effective manner · Schedule time to perform all cleaning necessary in designated area without direct supervision · Work effectively in a team atmosphere · Maintain a positive attitude · Develop and maintain excellent rapport with the public, staff, and students · Ability to read and understand product labeling · Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals · Perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies · Assist in maintaining seasonal grounds work (snow, lawn, landscaping beds, etc.) · Clean and preserve designated spaces, equipment etc. in the building as assigned by the supervisor · Restock disposable items and provide lead custodian with inventory usage and data · Assist the visiting public utilizing the facilities with directions within building and in obtaining and setting up needed equipment · Maintain building and grounds security in the building each school day · Identify and report uncleaned areas and safety concerns · Assist coworkers as needed · Report work-related problems to lead custodian or custodial/maintenance director · Additional duties as assigned Salary/Benefits: Starting at $16.89 per hour; commensurate with experience, per the PPEPSA Agreement · Sick, Personal, & Vacation Leave Time; Holiday Pay · Medical, Vision, & Dental Insurance Options · Retirement Plan with the State of Michigan Office of Retirement Services Start Date: As soon as possible STATEMENT OF NON-DISCRIMINATION: It is the policy of the Paw Paw Public School District that no discriminatory practices based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, height, weight, marital status, disability, genetic information or any other status covered by federal, state, or local law be allowed during any program, activity, service, or in employment.
