BartenderResponsibilitiesProvide courteous, prompt service to our guestsPrepare beverage orders for bar and dining areas, adhering to signature recipesUnderstand the steps of service and consistently execute them with efficiency and grace while maintaining a sense of urgency throughout the serviceBe a menu expert, educating customers on our food & drinks menus, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders.Seek opportunities to inform guests about additional offerings when applicableResponsible for entering guest orders accurately into POS system (Toast)Communicate guest requests, including dietary restrictions, to culinary staffEnsure guests are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.Effective and timely communication to all FOH/BOH team members throughout the serviceReceive and process payments (cash and credit cards)Prepare all menu items to standard, serving quality beverages and dishes to our guestsEnsure excellent maintenance of the bar and dining roomMaintain a positive, outgoing demeanor during service, with guests and co-workersBe safety-conscious to promote the safety of oneself, co-workers and guests at all timesCheck that restaurant equipment, including brewing equipment, is operating properly and report any maintenance needsInteract with genuine and patient hospitality when speaking to vendors and guests; cultivate relationships with regularsAble to multitask and cover multiple FOH roles depending on the demands of the business, including but not limited to Barista, Cashier, Food Runner, Bar SupportHelp food preparation staff when necessary.Have a general understanding of Department of Health (DOH) food safety standardsPerform opening and closing dutiesMaintain a positive, outgoing demeanor during serviceAdhere to company policy and proceduresPerform other duties as assigned by managementQualifications:Possess a passion for hospitality, teamwork and exceeding guest expectationsMinimum 1-year serving experience in a high-volume restaurant operationKnowledge of beer, wine and spiritsPrior related experience requiring cash handling, excellent customer service, service recovery and problem-solving skills\Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing the needs of guestsAbility to work cohesively with co-workers throughout the restaurantAbility to work a flexible scheduleMust be punctual with scheduled shifts.Ability to lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires frequent bending, reaching overhead, and twisting.
