Personal Care may include assistance with the activities of daily living, housecleaning, laundry, meal preparation, transportation, companionship, and respite, and more!Responsible for ensuring service is delivered in a caring and respectful manner, in accordance with relevant Agency policies and industry standards.Qualifications & Education:One one-year full-time experience in personal care or an institutional setting, such as a hospital or nursing home, or one-year full-time experience within the last five years in direct client care in a home care agency settingEvidence of sympathetic attitude toward elderly careDemonstrated ability to read, write and carry out directions.Evidence of maturity and ability to deal effectively with job demands.Must have good verbal and written communication skills- GREAT EnglishAbility to work closely supervised to ensure competence in providing client care.Must have a criminal history check conducted prior to being offered a position with the agencyResponsibilities:Provide personal hygiene assistanceHelp clients take prescribed medicationAssist clients with ambulationAssist with personal care and hygiene, plan and prepare mealsComplete client's shopping or accompany them to successfully do soPerform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidentsAct quickly and responsibly in cases of emergencyOther duties as assignedPhysical Demands:Sufficient visual and hearing ability to comprehend written and verbal communication.Ability to:Perform tasks involving activity, which may include heavy lifting and extensive bending and standing.Deal effectively with stress.Work assigned hours per week.Bend and stand an average of six (6) hours per day.Lift up to 50+ pounds.Work in a stressful environment.Drive up to 50+ miles per day.Additional Requirements:Assess and communicate with ill clients, co-workers and general public.Must have a passion for caregiving and a desire to help othersMust be neat in appearance and practice good personal hygiene.Must have a reliable means of transport.Must have a valid proof a negative TB test, or be willing to get tested.Must have CPR and First Aid certifications from a recognized provider.HOW TO APPLY:Click the CAREERS page on our COMPANY SITE.
