Diplomatic Perspective (DP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preparing the next generation of leaders through global education, workforce development, civic engagement, leadership development, and international experiences. Through the Oriadha Global Fellowship Program (OGFP), we provide high school students with mentorship, professional exposure, college and career readiness support, leadership development opportunities, and international travel experiences that help expand their vision for the future.
Position Overview
Diplomatic Perspective is seeking a highly organized, results-oriented, and mission-driven Program Manager to lead the implementation and day-to-day operations of the Oriadha Global Fellowship Program.
The Program Manager serves as the primary point of contact for students, parents, schools, elected officials, community organizations, universities, mentors, and program partners. This position is responsible for managing program operations, stakeholder engagement, communications, recruitment, event planning, budget management, reporting, technology systems, and international travel coordination.

Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Operations & Management
* Lead day-to-day implementation and coordination of the Oriadha Global Fellowship Program.
* Maintain the program calendar and ensure timely completion of activities, deadlines, and deliverables.
* Coordinate logistics for all fellowship programming, including virtual and in-person sessions.
* Facilitate and support fellowship activities and workshops.
* Provide classroom management and participant supervision during sessions and events.
* Coordinate meals, student materials, supplies, swag, and program resources.
* Develop and maintain systems that improve program efficiency and participant experience.
Student & Parent Engagement
* Serve as the primary point of contact for students and parents throughout the fellowship.
* Coordinate orientations, parent meetings, and family engagement activities.
* Communicate regularly with students and families regarding schedules, deadlines, program expectations, and travel requirements.
* Monitor attendance, participation, and student engagement.
* Maintain confidential student records and required documentation.
* Support student onboarding, retention, and successful program completion.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Manage relationships with schools, school administrators, counselors, teachers, universities, community organizations, government agencies, elected officials, mentors, and partner organizations.
* Coordinate stakeholder meetings and communications.
* Represent Diplomatic Perspective at meetings, events, and community engagements.
* Support cultivation and stewardship of strategic partnerships.
Recruitment & Enrollment
* Support recruitment efforts for current and future fellowship cohorts.
* Coordinate outreach efforts, information sessions, and application support.
* Build and maintain relationships with schools and community partners.
* Manage applicant communications and enrollment tracking.
* Support student selection and cohort development.
Event Planning & Execution
Lead the planning and coordination of a minimum of four major events annually, including:
* Passport Days
* Diplomatic Leaders Summits
* Etiquette Classes
* Parent Engagement Events
* Leadership Workshops
* Community Events
* Fellowship Graduation Ceremonies
Responsibilities include venue management, speaker coordination, catering, registration, transportation, vendor management, budgeting, volunteer coordination, and on-site execution.
International Travel Coordination
* Support planning and implementation of international travel experiences.
* Coordinate travel documentation, parent communications, pre-departure meetings, and logistics.
* Work with travel vendors and partner organizations.
* Assist with itinerary development and participant preparation.
* Support risk management and emergency planning.
Reporting & Financial Management
* Prepare monthly program reports and updates.
* Track program outcomes, participation metrics, and deliverables.
* Maintain expense trackers and financial documentation.
* Support budget management and financial reporting.
* Process invoices, receipts, reimbursements, and vendor payments.
* Assist with grant and funder reporting requirements.
Technology & Innovation
* Utilize Microsoft 365 to manage communications, calendars, reporting, and program administration.
* Support implementation and management of a Learning Management System (LMS).
* Leverage AI and technology tools to improve efficiency and participant engagement.
* Maintain databases, digital records, and reporting systems.
Team Leadership & Coordination
* Lead recurring OGFP implementation meetings.
* Coordinate activities across staff, contractors, volunteers, and partners.
* Develop meeting agendas, track action items, and ensure alignment on program goals.
* Work closely with the Executive Director, Director of Partnerships, Director of Marketing, Board Members, and other team members.
QualificationsRequired
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
* 3-5 years of professional experience in program management, education, nonprofit operations, youth development, community engagement, or a related field.
* Experience working directly with students and families.
* Strong organizational, administrative, and project management skills.
* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Professional demeanor, sound judgment, and strong etiquette.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
* Familiarity with AI tools and educational technology platforms.
* Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout Prince George's County and surrounding areas.
* Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
* Valid passport or ability to obtain one.
Preferred
* Experience working with high school students.
* Experience coordinating large-scale events.
* Experience managing educational or fellowship programs.
* Experience supporting international travel programs.
* Familiarity with Prince George's County schools and communities.
Schedule Requirements
This position requires regular evening and weekend availability. Fellowship sessions are held every *Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM*. Additional availability is required for parent meetings, orientations, field trips, partner meetings, special events, and occasional travel.
Employment Terms
This is a full-time, one-year contract position. Extension beyond the initial contract term may be considered based on funding availability, organizational needs, program continuation, and satisfactory performance evaluations.
