Job DescriptionProgram Coordinator – Healthcare Education & Community Engagement\n\nLocation: Washington, DC (Hybrid)\nSchedule: 35 hours per week | Tuesday-Thursday onsite\nDuration: 6-Month Contract\n\nAbout the Opportunity\n\nOur client is seeking a Program Coordinator to support an innovative healthcare education initiative focused on engaging medical students and residents through a dynamic virtual community. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys coordinating programs, building online communities, and providing exceptional administrative support.\n\nThe ideal candidate is a strong communicator with experience managing digital engagement, coordinating stakeholders, and supporting mission-driven initiatives.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProvide administrative and logistical support for a professional education and engagement program.\nCoordinate communications with external platform vendors, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and ongoing collaboration.\nManage the day-to-day administration of an online community platform by:\nPosting content and announcements\nMonitoring member discussions\nCoordinating virtual events and updates\nTracking user participation and engagement\nMonitor and respond to a shared program inbox, ensuring timely communication and follow-up.\nMaintain departmental databases and records while handling confidential information with discretion.\nAssist with program coordination, reporting, and other administrative projects as needed.\nCollaborate with internal teams to ensure successful program operations and participant engagement.\n\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor's degree required.\nMinimum of 2 years of relevant administrative, program coordination, or community engagement experience.\nExperience supporting digital communities, online engagement initiatives, or social networking platforms is highly preferred.\nExceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nStrong customer service mindset and ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.\nTechnical Skills\nMicrosoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\nAdobe Acrobat\nGoogle Workspace\nVirtual meeting platforms (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, etc.)\nExperience with online community management platforms is a plus.\n\n\nPreferred Background\n\nExperience working in a nonprofit, association, healthcare, education, or mission-driven organization is preferred but not required.\nExperience supporting online engagement initiatives, professional development programs, or educational communities is a plus.\n\n\nWhy Apply?\nThis is a great opportunity to join a collaborative organization that values innovation, professional development, and meaningful community engagement.
