Position: Steel Detailing ManagerSalary: $90,000 – $100,000 /annuallyLocation: Oakdale, CASchedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:45 PMJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Steel Detailing Manager to oversee detailing operations within a structural steel environment. This role is responsible for managing detailing teams, ensuring project accuracy, and supporting fabrication and erection processes through effective coordination and quality control.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the structural steel industry, strong leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of detailing standards, fabrication practices, and constructability.Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage daily detailing and BIM operationsLead and support detailing teams to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are metReview drawings and models for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project requirementsCoordinate with fabrication, engineering, and project management teamsEnsure adherence to fabrication and erection standards and proceduresMaintain quality control throughout detailing workflowsSupport project planning and resolve detailing or constructability issues proactivelyEnsure compliance with applicable AISC standards and AWS codesQualifications5–10 years of related experience as a BIM or Detailing Manager in the structural steel industryStrong knowledge of fabrication and erection standards and proceduresProven experience managing detailers and coordinating detailing operationsStrong understanding of design conformity and constructabilityGeneral knowledge of AISC standards and AWS codesExperience with Tekla software preferredExcellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
