Therapist - Radiation Therapist

Job DescriptionJob Summary: Provides precise delivery of radiation therapy treatments, ensuring patient safety and comfort while operating treatment units. Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to support accurate imaging, simulation, and treatment procedures. Responsibilities: Deliver radiation treatments accurately according to the prescribed plan, maintaining communication with patients throughout procedures. Perform daily linac and CT QA, as well as monthly CT QA, to ensure equipment functionality and safety. Conduct CT simulations, immobilization device construction, and utilize IV contrast and respiratory gating according to protocols. Train therapists in CT, simulation techniques, including AcQ, respiratory gating, and SBRT simulations, ensuring departmental standards are met. Manage and verify treatment data within MOSAIQ, including treatment schedules, prescriptions, photos, and portal imaging. Follow department policies, safety protocols, and emergency procedures, utilizing proper body mechanics and radiation protection principles. Qualifications: Successfully complete an accredited Radiation Therapy program. ARRT certification and registration in Radiation Therapy. Proven experience with linear accelerators, CT simulation, IGRT, SBRT, and treatment planning. Demonstrate proficiency in MOSAIQ or similar treatment management systems. Ability to train and lead team members in CT and simulation procedures. Strong knowledge of safety standards and radiation protection principles.
