Position SummaryNRD, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee engineering activities across all technical disciplines for assigned projects or project phases. Plans, coordinates, and directs engineering assignments, ensuring tasks are executed efficiently and accurately. Provides technical leadership and accountability for interpreting, organizing, and managing engineering work, while ensuring alignment with project goals, company standards, and business objectives.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Project Manager in managing engineering work including planning, coordination and tracking project tasksProvide technical leadership and guidance, interpreting and resolving engineering challengesWork directly with engineering to translate design specifications into material and vendor requirementsMonitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain project performanceFacilitate communication between engineering teams and other departments to ensure alignmentReview engineering designs, drawings and specification for accuracy, completeness and feasibilityCommunicate project status, updates and risks to leadership through regular reports and presentationsDrive timely decision making and maintain a strong sense of urgency to meet critical deadlinesEnsure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable regulationsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or another engineering discipline with strong mechanical aptitude5 years’ experience supporting engineering or technical projectsStrong understanding of engineering principles, drawings and technical documentationProficiency with CAD systemsProficiency with project tracking toolsAbility to adapt to dynamic project environmentsMust be a US Citizen (due to contractual requirements)Salary RangeFinal compensation will be determined by experience, skills, and overall alignment with the role.Why Join NRD?At NRD we foster a collaborative environment where innovation and quality drive real outcomes.
