This role will contribute to the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial statements while helping support the accounting processes that scale with a high-growth, multi-entity business.Working cross-functionally across the organization, this position will support the month-end close process, financial reporting activities, and ongoing accounting initiatives tied to the growth of the business. The role will also help identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, documentation, and internal controls as the organization continues to expand.This role is ideal for an accounting professional who is excited to take ownership of key accounting areas, collaborate across teams, and play a meaningful role in strengthening and scaling the accounting infrastructure of a rapidly growing organization.THE FLAVOR YOU ADD...Support the month-end close and financial reporting process, helping ensure assigned accounting areas are completed accurately and contribute to the integrity of the company’s financial statements.Develop and maintain clear documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support consistent, scalable accounting processes.Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting analyses to maintain accuracy, completeness, and strong financial controls.Perform account analysis and investigate variances to ensure the reliability of financial reporting and provide insight into financial results.Partner cross-functionally across the organization to support business initiatives and ensure transactions are properly reflected in the financial statements.Oversee the tracking and recognition of prepaid and accrual activity across the organization, ensuring completeness and alignment with company accounting policies.Develop and maintain detailed accounting schedules, including prepaids and accruals, ensuring balances are properly supported and accurately reflected in the financial statements.Manage accounting for capitalized software development costs recorded in construction-in-progress (CIP), ensuring development costs are properly tracked and evaluated for capitalization in accordance with applicable accounting guidance, and transitioned to amortization upon project completion.Support external audit processes by preparing documentation and responding to audit inquiries related to assigned accounting areas.Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes, documentation, and internal controls as the organization continues to grow.Identify opportunities to leverage technology and automation to improve accounting processes, efficiency, and scalability.Contribute to knowledge sharing and cross-training within the accounting team to strengthen processes, documentation, and overall team effectiveness.MUST-HAVE INGREDIENTS...Technical Accounting Foundation– Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and the ability to apply accounting principles to support accurate financial reporting and the integrity of the company’s financial statements.Balance Sheet Stewardship – Demonstrated ability to take ownership of key balance sheet areas, ensuring reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial data are complete, accurate, and well supported.Financial Analysis & Insight – Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to review transactions, investigate variances, and provide insights that support accurate financial reporting and informed business decisions.Process & Controls Mindset – Ability to evaluate and enhance accounting processes, documentation, and internal controls to support a scalable and well-governed finance organization.Cross-Functional Partnership – Proven ability to collaborate with teams across business functions to ensure alignment between operational activities and financial reporting.Execution & Prioritization – Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while contributing to a timely and accurate month-end close in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferredWE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM PEOPLE WITHExperience in accounting at a professional level including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis (3+ years).Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting processes.Experience working with prepaid, accrual accounting.Experience working in a multi-entity or high-growth environment.Experience supporting internal or external audit requests.Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.Experience in QSR, restaurant, retail, or franchising environments preferred.Public accounting experience strongly preferred.Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Experience using advanced Excel functionality and tools such as Power Query/Power BI to streamline data processing, automate reporting, and improve accounting workflows.
