Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant Our growing client is looking for a talented Staff Accountant to join their friendly accounting team. This is not an entry level role and we're looking for a few years' experience or more. Manufacturing industry experience is required. This is a newly created position, open due to growth.Local talent strongly preferred!Primary Responsibilities:Reconcile the general ledgerCreate and review journal entries for accuracyComplete monthly closeInventory accounting and cycle countsContinuously look at processes for opportunities to streamline and improvePerform cost benefit analysis and report results to managementPrepare analysis, data and reporting for profit monitoringWork with others to evaluate spend and develop budgets and forecastsComplete ad-hoc analysis projects as neededReporting and analysis of financials, working with business managers to drive decisions based on financial analysis.Work closely with the business to develop, recommend and establish strategies, plans and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiencies. Requirements:Minimum 2 to 4 years experience, with at least 1 year experience in a manufacturing settingIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot tables and Lookups are a must have)Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate financial goals and progress to leadershipSelf-motivated with history demonstrating strong organizational skills and ability to multi-taskDemonstrated ability to work effectively with othersA Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field is required.Previous inventory accounting experience strongly preferredAbility to commute to the office regularlyApply today!Charles Joy is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
