Assistant Volleyball Coach

The Assistant Coach, under the supervision of the Head Coach of the program, will assist in all aspects of planning, developing, and managing a successful intercollegiate team. Will assist in coaching, recruiting, game development, strategy, condition, and evaluating for the program. Part-Time Pay - Monthly Stipend of $667.00 Minimum Qualifications Coaching Experience, preferably at the collegiate level Demonstrated experience in training, recruiting and instructing athletes. Experience in managing a sports team, knowledge of the NJCAA rules and regulations. Travel and non-traditional hours. Valid driver's license, preferably CDL Must be CPR/First Aid certified or must obtain certification within 2 months of hiring. Must demonstrate leadership skills and ability to raise funds for the program. Demonstrate and maintain strong relationship skills. Ability to record short game summary video and share with SID/Communications via text/email for web/social media use. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution is preferred. Essential Duties Help in recruitment, retention, academic support, practice preparation, game strategy, alumni development, fundraising, and community service. Recruit student athletes who meet the Institution's admissions requirements and documents recruiting communication Assists in supervision of study hall and implementation. Refers to Forsyth Technical Community College catalog, class schedules, recruiting schedules, study hall attendance and policies, policies and procedures of the College, email documents, NJCAA rules and regulations, athletic department policies and procedures, etc. Required to attend all staff meetings set by the Director of Athletics Assists in sharing game scores, statistics, film, and key information with external fans/audience. Assists in submitting statistics to PrestoSports. Assists in annual program inventory. Supports and works cooperatively with Sports Medicine/Athletic Training, Media Relations, Student Life, etc., in accordance with department policies and procedures. Professional conduct and dress, fiscally responsible, and commitment to student athlete's well-being Help maintain athletic facilities. Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Director of Athletics Physical Demands Will need to regularly operate and use computers, phones and other electronic equipment. Must be able to lift 35-50 lbs. easily Must be able to move around office and/or campus to attend meetings/classes, access files, machinery or other job-related tools May need to position themselves by reaching, stooping, kneeling or crouching in order to adjust or collect equipment and/or supplies
