The Accountant III is responsible for processing and reconciling monthly surcharge collections, as well as coordinating related payments to airports and taxing authorities. This role involves analyzing, reconciling, and adjusting various balance sheet accounts, and preparing monthly journal entries as part of the month-end close process.What You'll Do: Compute and report monthly surcharge collections and accompanying payments to our airports and taxing authorities.Analyzes and reconcile various account reconciliations relating to surcharge collections.Analyze various inventory, prepaid and other account analysis.Prepare monthly journal entries.Review accounting statements (P&L and balance sheets).Assist on various AdHoc projects and department responsibilities.Acts as liaison with the properties department and the landlords to ensure proper payments are being processed in a timely manner.Perks You’ll Get: Access to Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability insuranceEligible to elect other voluntary benefits including: Group Auto Insurance, Group Home Insurance, Pet Insurance, Legal Assistance, Identity Theft Protection, FSA, Accident Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, and additional life insurance coverages401(k) Retirement Plan with company matched contributionsFull training to learn the business and enhance professional skillsEmployee discounts, including discounted prices on the purchase of Avis/Budget carsAccess to an Employee Assistance Program for services including counseling, financial and legal consultation, referrals for care service and moreWhat We're Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fieldMinimum of 3 years of accounting experienceKnowledge of Oracle GL, Oracle AP, Oracle Fixed Assets system a plusKnowledge of Visual Lease or similar lease accounting & management softwareCommunicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in writingExcellent time management, planning, organizational skills, and interpersonal skillsAbility to multi-task in a fast paced environment and act with a sense of urgencyAbility to work independently and in a team environmentSolid PC skills including knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel is a must)Detail OrientedThe annual starting salary for this position is between $75,000 – $85,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
