Salary commensurate with experience*Overview:Location: Hybrid – Albany, NYSalary: $120,000 - $140,000We are seeking a Technical Business / Data Analyst who will support our client with process improvement, requirements documentation, and data-driven reporting initiatives. This role will collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into clear documentation, actionable insights, and effective data solutions. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented analyst with strong SQL, reporting, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with experience gathering requirements and analyzing complex data.Duties: Elicit, document, and validate business requirements through stakeholder engagementDevelop business requirement documents (BRDs), use cases, and process flowsDocument current-state and future-state workflowsCreate, standardize, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational documentationSupport strategic initiatives by translating high-level goals into actionable documentation and processesWrite, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for reporting and analysisCollect, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured dataPerform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assuranceDevelop reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Excel or TableauTranslate analytical findings into business insights and requirementsDocument analytical approaches, assumptions, data sources, logic, and analytical methodologiesSupport both technical and non-technical stakeholders in understanding data outputsAlign business needs with data solutions and reporting capabilitiesMandatory Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or related field5+ years of relevant experience in business analysis, data analysis, or related roles5+ years of experience gathering and documenting requirements and processesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skillsProficiency in SQL and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a client-facing environment Desirable Qualifications:Experience working in healthcare, pharmacy programs, Medicaid, Long-Term Care (LTC), or EVV environmentsExperience developing SOPs and operational documentationKnowledge of data governance, data modeling, or ETL processesRelevant certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMP, or data analytics certifications) Cloud and Things complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding recruitment and hiring.
