Job SummaryThe HR Generalist will support the Human Resources department by maintaining functions such as personnel policies and regulatory compliance.Hours and WagesMonday-Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM or 7:30AM-4:30PMStarting wage: $24.00-$28.00 per hour, based on experienceDuties and ResponsibilitiesServe as a primary contact for employee questions, concerns, and HR-related issuesSupport resolutions of employee relations matters, including investigations and documentationPromote a positive and inclusive work environmentPartner with hiring managers to assist with the interview process as neededFacilitate onboarding and new hire orientation processes Support performance review processes and employee development planning Coach managers on performance issues, documentation, and corrective actions Administer employee benefits programs and respond to employee inquires as needed Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment lawsMaintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook Manage employee records and ensure data accuracy in HRIS systems Coordinate employee training and development programsSupport Leadership development initiativesMaintain HR systems, reports and employee dataTrack and analyze HR metrics such as turnover, hiring and engagement Perform other related duties as assignedSkills and AbilitiesStrong knowledge of HR practices and employment lawsExcellent communications and interpersonal skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information Strong organizational and time management skills Problem-solving and conflict resolutions abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareEducation and ExperienceAt least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred2+ years of experience in human resources preferredSHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferredPhysical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at timesBenefitsHealth Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), Employee Assistance Program, 401(k) Plan, Quarterly Bonuses, and more.EEO and Affirmative Action StatementSpee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
