Golf Course Laborer Under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent and his assistants, safely performs routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance as well as operates small handheld power equipment. Each laborer may be assigned responsibility for the care and maintenance of several designated holes of the golf course and does related work as required.Responsibilities:Operates walk-behind mowers to mow greens, aprons, tees and rough.Performs the maintenance of sand bunkers; such duties include raking, cleaning, edging, and pulling weedsOperates a string trimmer to trim around trees, fence lines, banks and hillsides.Operates power edger to edge cart paths and tee bordersUtilizes a hose to water fairways, bunker edges and other assigned dry areas.Cleans and returns all equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility; and cleans the maintenance areasOther duties as assigned.Minimum Job Requirements:Knowledge of methods and materials used in grounds and landscape area construction/maintenance workWorking knowledge of and ability to safely use hand and power tools and equipmentAbility to safely operate turf trucks and light motorized equipmentAbility to interact with coworkers, members, and management in positive, supportive, cooperative waysAbility to understand and comply with all safety rules and use appropriate safety equipment at all timesPhysical ability to stand, walk, use hands, see, talk, hear, sit, and lift/carry/push/pull/move objects up to 50 poundsAbility to stay on task and complete assignments with minimal supervisionBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offReferral programRetirement planVision insurance
