Project Controls Manager Location: Atlanta, GA US Citizenship or Green Card Required Pay Rate: $79.93/hr Employment Type: 2 yr Contract About the Role COMPANY is seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager (PCM) to support an Advanced Power Generation project. This role will support the Bowen Unit 7 & 8 combined‑cycle power project, a two‑unit 1x1 configuration producing 1,590MW for Georgia Power near Atlanta, Georgia. Prior field experience and strong cost and schedule expertise are highly preferred. The PCM leads a team of Project Controls (PJC) professionals, influences internal and external stakeholders, and provides technical leadership on complex, high‑risk projects. This role also supports global collaboration and drives continuous improvement across project controls functions. Key Responsibilities Project Controls Management Lead and develop a PJC team on complex, high‑risk projects Serve as a core member of the project management leadership team Identify and implement process improvements Lead project risk and change management activities Drive department initiatives and support global collaboration Execution Leadership Ensure implementation of PJC procedures, tools, and best practices Provide clear visibility into project health and performance Escalate project issues to PJC leadership and recommend solutions Support project reviews and follow‑through on resulting actions Provide coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities for staff Assist with succession planning within the PJC team Required Skills & Experience Strong background in cost and schedule management Prior field experience preferred Experience supporting medium‑ to large‑scale EPC projects Ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders at all levels Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant cost control or planning/scheduling experience OR No degree with 12+ years of relevant experience in home office or field environments Preferred: Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management Leadership experience on medium‑ to large‑scale EPC projects Certifications from PMI or AACE
