Housekeeping Supervisor

Reports To: Housekeeping Manager or Housekeeping Villa ManagerIn Their Absence: Assistant Housekeeping ManagerThe Housekeeping Supervisor plays a key leadership role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction across the resort. This position works in close partnership with Room Attendants, Housepersons, Housekeeping Inspectors, and other resort departments to ensure exceptional service and operational efficiency.Job SummaryParticipate in the evaluation and development of team membersCommunicate employee performance to Housekeeping Management, including recommendations for recognition, coaching, or corrective actionEnsure all team members follow policies and procedures outlined in the Hawks Cay Resort HandbookCoordinate with Rental Management and Engineering for repairs, maintenance, and broken itemsReport guest policy violations such as unauthorized pets or improper use of rooms/villasMonitor and supervise the daily performance of Room Attendants, Housepersons, and InspectorsTrain and retrain staff to ensure work meets resort quality standardsPerform spot checks for quality control behind Room Attendants and InspectorsProvide hands-on coaching by reviewing areas requiring improvement and demonstrating proper proceduresReassign tasks and credits throughout the workday based on operational needsInspect rooms/villas returning from out-of-order status and assign appropriatelyMonitor system updates throughout the day, including ECOs, arrivals, and status changesEnsure all required checklists are completed by Inspectors and HousepersonsMaintain strong communication with all departments to support smooth daily operationsQualificationsPrevious experience as a Room Attendant and/or Housekeeping Inspector preferredPrior supervisory or leadership experience in hospitality strongly preferredStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to make sound decisions regarding staff performance and guest serviceDetail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and efficiencyAbility to work in a fast-paced resort environmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)Must be able to climb stairs frequentlyFull mobility required including bending, stooping, kneeling, and liftingAbility to work under pressure while maintaining quality standardsMust be available to work weekends and holidaysAbility to work extended hours when operationally necessaryHawks Cay Resort is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
