Industrial Scaffold Builder

Please complete our application with as much information as possible.Summary of PositionThe Industrial Scaffold Builder plays a crucial role in supporting the crew in performing skilled scaffolding work, including the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures in various industrial settings. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, precision, and teamwork, ensuring that all scaffolding meets industry standards and project requirements. Scaffolders should have a willingness to learn the trade, develop technical expertise, and take initiative in mastering best practices. With dedication and hands-on experience, this role provides a clear pathway for growth, with the opportunity to advance toward an assistant crew leader position.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in assembling various types of scaffolding, ensuring secure platforms and proper safety measures.Comfortable working at heights of four feet and above.Properly wear and maneuver a safety harness with a lumbar belt for protection.Utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe work environment.Support the dismantling and removal of scaffolding upon project completion.Help identify potential hazards, defects, and necessary repairs to ensure compliance with safety regulations, legal codes, and industry best practices.Willing to work in diverse weather conditions, adapting to environmental challenges.Develop an understanding of industry codes, legislation, and health and safety procedures.Maintain a clean and organized job site to promote efficiency and safety.Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth operations and project success.Follow all company policies and procedures with professionalism and diligence.Safely lift, carry, and transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds.Required QualificationsEntry-level positionDiploma or GEDAbility to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishExcellent interpersonal skills.Works well with a team.Understands how to utilize all required safety gear (PPE)Understands basic tool usage (tape measure, saw, drill, etc.)Driver's License (Chauffeurs license preferred)+1-year(s) Experience in Construction, Carpentry, Masonry or a related field.Technical Skills* Ability to work well with a team* Effective communication skillsNiles Plant Services is a proud Equal Opportunity Employer and believes that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
