A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM • Every other weekend (EOW) coverage required • Patient ratios: Days 1:6, Nights 1:7, Weekends 1:8 • 2 years of nursing experience required • Travel experience required - first time travelers not accepted • Must live more than 50 miles from facility location • Epic charting system experience required • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS • 12 hours of orientation provided • Float to other units as needed • Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain rule out • Skills required: MS/Tele monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, rapid response/code team utilization, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management, IV insertion and maintenance, CVA care, seizure disorder management, substance withdrawal care, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions • Any nursing uniform color scrubs acceptable • NY license required in hand for submission • Unit has 25 beds with daily census of 20 patients • Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical surgical telemetry unit providing acute care services for adult and geriatric patients.
