This position requires interface with suppliers and end-users and all levels of management within the companys Information Technology, Cyber Security, Materials Management, Finance, Legal, and Contracts organizations. This is an on-site position located in Groton, CT.Responsibilities:Review and analyze new regulations that may impact the departments procurement of IT-related hardware and softwareKeep current on new compliance trends and best practicesDevelop contract terms and conditions with favorable terms and mitigate risk exposure while aligning with the companys policiesReview and negotiate supplier exceptionsTrack the status of contract lifecycleProvide guidance and support to management, buyers, and end-users on all aspects of compliance-related mattersReview suppliers to ensure the company can conduct business with themAd-hoc projects as may be requested by management from time to timeResponsibilitiesStrong interpersonal skills to clearly and effectively communicate with all levels of managementAbility to handle multiple projects and adjust to changing prioritiesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to analyze, think critically, identify compliance risks, and determine practical solutions to compliance issues quickly and efficientlyAbility to complete all assigned tasks and meet established deadlinesMaintain high ethical standards and act with integrityExperience prioritizing and independently managing projectsProficiency with Microsoft Office applications (especially track changes feature)Willingness to learn and ability to conduct online research of laws and regulationsProficient verbal and written communication skillsQualificationsRequired:A Bachelors DegreeMinimum 2 years of legal related experienceAbility to obtain DoD Secret clearancePreferred:Contract negotiation and administration experienceKnowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and other import/export regulationsKnowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS)Knowledge of data security and privacy laws and regulationsFamiliarity with IT-related hardware and various types of software contracting
