Work consists of routine manual and simple mechanical operations of equipment. Incumbents are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the trucks and related equipment. S/he follows general directions, including work orders to determine work to be done and routes to be taken, from a superior who performs periodic inspections of work. Incumbents may be called upon to operate heavy duty equipment in case of emergency.
