Job description: Visual Foxpro Developer About the Opportunity Macro-Pro is a legal services company located in Long Beach, California. We are seeking a self-motivated and innovative IT professional for a promising opportunity on our staff as a FoxPro/.NET Developer. The goal is to analyze legacy systems written in Fox26 DOS for conversion to VFP9. The developer will be involved in all aspects of the SDLC. The FoxPro Developer will: Work on-site in our Long Beach office (we cannot sponsor H-1B Visas) Maintain current legacy system Fox26 DOS while developing replacement VFP9 applications Design and develop new software solutions in VFP9 to improve the functionality of each legacy application Work with SQL Server 2008-2012 stored procedures Debug existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components Qualifications: Experience with Fox26 DOS programming and conversion to VFP 9 5+ years of Application Programming and Development experience with FoxPro Able to work effectively in cross-functional teams and work independently Solid understanding of SQL 2012 and above database programming and performance Strong English communication skills Visual Studio 2019 and newer or Python experience are a plus Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday Pay: $82,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year Benefits: AD&D insurance Health insurance Experience: Visual Foxpro: 5 years (Required) Shift availability: Day Shift (Required) Work Location: In person
