Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Carpenter Foreman with at least 5 years of experience in heavy highway, transit, and civil concrete construction. The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations of a crew on-site, ensuring quality workmanship, adherence to safety standards, and efficient project execution. This position requires leadership, problem-solving, and a strong understanding of the construction process. Key Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate the activities of concrete carpenters and laborers on heavy highway, transit, and civil construction sites.Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan work activities and ensure proper execution of carpentry tasks.Manage daily crew activities, ensuring work is performed efficiently, safely, and meets quality standards.Ensure proper installation of formwork, reinforcement, and concrete structures for a variety of civil infrastructure projects.Conduct on-site inspections to monitor compliance with safety, quality, and project specifications.Provide hands-on assistance and technical expertise to crew members as needed.Maintain effective communication with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project progression.Monitor and enforce safety procedures and ensure that all crew members adhere to OSHA and company safety guidelines.Report daily progress, challenges, and any concerns to the project manager.Manage and track materials, tools, and equipment on-site, ensuring availability and proper utilization.Mentor and train less experienced crew members to foster skill development and career growth. Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience in concrete carpentryStrong knowledge of concrete formwork, reinforcement, and construction techniques.Extensive knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA standards, and ability to enforce them on-site.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Union membership is required.
