If you're ready to contribute your talents alongside some of the industry's best and brightest, we welcome you to apply!We are looking for a licensed Landscape Architect who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys leading projects from concept through construction while building strong client relationships.As a Landscape Architect Project Manager, you will lead the planning, design, and execution of a wide range of projects, including parks, campuses, streetscapes, and mixed-use developments.ResponsibilitiesLead site planning and design efforts, including layout, grading, stormwater, landscaping, and open space designManage all aspects of projects including technical design, budgets, schedules, and client coordinationPrepare conceptual and detailed site plans, construction documents, and permitting packagesOversee entitlement processes including rezonings, special use permits, and site plan approvals (as needed on projects)Ensure QA/QC standards are met and deliver high-quality, coordinated designsServe as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and fostering strong relationshipsCollaborate closely with civil engineers, architects, contractors, and internal teamsConduct site assessments and feasibility studiesPresent designs to clients, boards, commissions, and community stakeholdersSupport construction administration activities including site visits, RFIs, and shop drawing reviewsMonitor project progress and provide direction to maintain quality and scheduleMentor and guide project team members to support their development and project successParticipate in business development efforts by strengthening existing relationships and building new onesAttend industry events, meetings, and networking opportunitiesPrepare monthly invoices and review subconsultant billingQualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape ArchitectureRegistered Landscape Architect (PLA) in good standing (NC preferred)Minimum of 6 years of relevant experienceStrong project management experience with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to provide technical guidance and project reviews to landscape designers/junior engineer reports, helping them adhere to best practicesExperience with land planning, site design, grading, stormwater management, utilities, and erosion controlGeneral knowledge of entitlement and permitting processesProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft OfficeStrong graphic and visualization skills (digital and hand graphics)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to present to clients, boards, and community stakeholdersStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyValid driver's license and ability to travel as neededAbility to work in both office and field environmentsSummit Design and Engineering is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
