Full Stack DeveloperFull stack developer with Node.js and JavaScript experience in Dallas or Frisco or Irving who can work from the client's office every alternate week. Experience working in the retail domain is a must. It's a client facing role.About the RoleWe are working with a leading Midwest-based retail client to build next-generation, agent-driven digital commerce experiences. This is a high-visibility, fast-paced engagement where you will translate complex business intent into scalable, governed, production-ready systems across commerce, loyalty, inventory, pricing, and checkout. You will be a core contributor on a small, agile team with an offshore presence, working closely with the client's engineering and product teams to deliver solutions. Ideation, creative problem-solving, and collaborative communication are as important as technical depth in this role.Why This Role• Work on AI-native systems that are shaping how a major retailer serves its customers• Gain deep exposure to the full agentic stack — from tool design to evaluation and guardrails• Operate at the intersection of engineering, product thinking, and client strategy• Join a lean, talented team where your contributions are seen and your growth is realWhat You'll Do• Design and build agent-driven digital experiences spanning search, ontology, commerce, loyalty, inventory, pricing, and checkout.• Architect and implement APIs and distributed systems that are performant, scalable, and maintainable.• Leverage agentic AI frameworks, including MCP (Model Context Protocol) and tool calls, to build intelligent, context-aware systems.• Drive vibe coding practices — refining and optimizing user stories to maximize the efficiency of AI-assisted development workflows.• Translate business requirements into well-scoped, production-ready technical solutions on AWS infrastructure.• Contribute to performance, scalability, and deployment best practices across the platform.Required Qualifications• 3-5 years of hands-on software engineering experience in production environments.• Strong proficiency in Python, Node.js, React with experience building and maintaining applications.• Familiarity with columnar databases, caching.• Understanding of API design principles (REST) and distributed systems architecture.• Working knowledge of agentic AI concepts — MCP, tool calls, and agent orchestration patterns.• Demonstrated experience with vibe coding and the ability to refine requirement stories to optimize AI-assisted development.• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-native patterns (serverless, containers, event-driven architectures).• Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging directly with client stakeholders.• Curious, collaborative, low-ego team player who thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.Travel: TBD - remote ok but need to be on-site once a month for a week.
