Campus Staff Minister – Alabama (Graduate & Faculty Ministry)Full time position based in Alabama. Open to applicants working up to 40 hours per week.

ResponsibilitiesSpiritual GrowthPursue a vibrant relationship with God through Scripture, prayer, and worship.
Develop self‑leadership and embrace scriptural standards for behavior and attitudes.Campus LeadershipCommunicate and model InterVarsity’s vision to transform campus life.
Create a culture of humble dependence on God and bold expectation.
Lead students and faculty through Scripture, prayer, teaching, and discipleship.
Set and pursue annual goals with teams for growth and leadership development.
Build, develop, and leverage ministry plans, programs, and structures.
Mobilize students and faculty to engage relational networks and start new communities.
Collaborate with supervisors and national leaders.
Under the direction of the Area Director, may supervise Ministry Interns as delegated.Missional DeveloperIntentionally gather, invite, and develop diverse groups of students and faculty.
Create opportunities for encounters with Jesus through Scripture, worship, prayer, mission experiences, and conferences.
Equip students and faculty to think strategically about campus engagement.
Disciple them to respond actively and debrief experiences.
Invite, coach, and equip them to become effective participants and leaders.Organizational CollaborationWork with local, area, regional, and national InterVarsity staff and volunteers.
Respond positively to direction and coaching of supervisors.
Contribute to collaborative meetings and relationships.
Submit Graduate Student Forms to increase partnership with current students and alumni.
Use national ministry resources and tools, including conferences.
Complete reporting, planning, and review requirements in a timely fashion.
Comply with all InterVarsity policies and procedures.Ministry Partnership DevelopmentDevelop a team of partners – churches, alumni, volunteers – for financial, prayer, or service support.
Raise 100% of the financial budget assigned by the supervisor.
Communicate regularly with partners, visiting and calling.
Develop long‑lasting partnerships with alumni and volunteers.
Comply with all Ministry Partnership Policies.
Identify and invest in advocates who build volunteer and donor networks.
Accomplish all other assigned tasks as appropriate.QualificationsAnnually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement (Doctrinal Basis and Purpose Statement).
Abide by InterVarsity’s Code of Conduct.
Belief and conduct consistent with InterVarsity’s Human Sexuality Theological Paper.
Affirmation of InterVarsity’s Women in Ministry Statement.
Bachelor’s degree required for four‑year campus, Associate’s for two‑year or community college.
Strong interpersonal skills to minister to diverse ethnic and faculty communities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated problem‑solving skills.
Familiarity with word processing, presentation, email, and spreadsheet software.
Work Environment & Physical RequirementsThe position requires travel to on‑campus and off‑campus sites for conferences, training, and partnership meetings. The role involves regular communication and the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
Pay & BenefitsPay range: $39,288.00 - $52,392.00 per year (40 hours/week). Compensation is based on the ability to secure a donor team for fundraising.
