Generalist - Blaster- 1st Shift

Location: Theodore, AL, United States, 36582Company: Chart IndustriesEnsuring Chart’s Success…What Will You Do?Perform abrasive blasting (sandblasting, grit blasting, etc.) on metal or other surfaces to prepare for painting or coatingOperate blasting equipment, including blast pots, hoses, nozzles, and air compressorsInspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure proper preparation and cleanlinessFollow specifications for surface profile and cleanliness standardsPrep units prior to painting using a blasting booth,spray paint application and other hand preparation methodsWork closely with painters and production team to meet deadlines and quality standardsMaintain cleanliness of assigned work areaPerforms other work as assignedComplete and follow all safety procedures and policiesComplete company provided training to effectively perform required job responsibilitiesOvertime, when required, which may include weekendsPerforms all tasks to ISO standards and requirementsYour Physical Work Environment Will Require…Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
