Our 5 course set menu changes every few weeks and is made up entirely of what we grow on the farm. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate, experienced chef to join our team. Role Description This is a full-time on-site Chef role located in Cheshire, CT. As a Chef at Groobarbs Wild Farm, you will manage the preparation and presentation of fresh, seasonal dishes using farm-grown ingredients. Key responsibilities include menu planning, maintaining food quality and hygiene standards, and collaborating with other team members to deliver exceptional culinary experiences. You will also play a role in creating special farm-to-table events and educating visitors about local and sustainable cooking practices. Qualifications Culinary skills, including cooking, food preparation, and presentation techniquesExperience in menu planning, managing kitchen operations, and maintaining food standardsKnowledge of sustainable cooking practices and farm-to-table dining principlesExcellent time management and organizational skillsStrong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with farm and event personnelAbility to adapt recipes to seasonal ingredients and embrace a creative approach to menu developmentRelevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferredPrevious experience in a similar role or in a farm-to-table setting is a plus
